Pastors Nina and Rick Tidwell

Pastor Nina Tidwell is Author of: LOVE AWAKENS on Amazon.

Nina and her husband Rick are Founders and Pastors of Ponce Church, the first church in the history of Ponce Inlet, FL – Established in 2003.

She is also Co-author of The Main Thing and The Right Thing by Rick Tidwell.

Pastors Rick and Nina have two Children, Rich and Robert.
Rich who is founder and pastor of their sister church Ormond Church along with his wife Brandi, (they have 6 children) both he and Brandi are also the Directors of Legacy House, a home for age out foster girls and soon the Legacy Housing Ranch for age out foster boys.

Their youngest son Robert, his wife reside in Monongahela, PA., along with their two children. 

Nina and her husband Rick currently have 8 beautiful Grandchildren.

Pastor Nina is the Visionary of the Legacy Housing Project – Safe Housing for foster youth aging out of the foster care system, and is preparing to provide a home for age out foster girls here in Monongahela.
She is also the Visionary and Director of Tabitha’s Housing of Ponce Village Homeless Women Housing.

Pastor Nina has been a follower of Jesus for over 40 years, and a full-time Pastor and Bible teacher for two decades, and has preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the Streets of Detroit, Michigan not long after giving her life to Jesus. She has preached the gospel in many churches, including Nuevo Christian Church in Reynosa, Mexico where Ponce Church helped build a church on the property of Pastor Juanita. She has also ministered to women’s groups, and has organized ministries to help homeless women. Pastor Nina has also been a Chaplain at local Hospitals while living in Florida, and is also the Visionary of Endless Possibilities, a ministry to children and adults with Special Needs, teaching the Word of God regarding physical healing (Isaiah 53:4,5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, Acts 10:38) while using visuals, such as images of Jesus healing the sick and helping them understand that Jesus is the Same yesterday, Today and Forever. She shares many testimonies in her book: Love Awakens.

The Vision of Little City Church

During a recent trip to Monongahela, PA., (while visiting Family) the Lord spoke to Pastor Nina to plant the new Little City Church.

During this trip and while driving down Main Street, she looked for potential establishments to lease for the use of Little City Church, while driving and seeing St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, her husband, Pastor Rick encouraged her to call the church regarding the possible use of the property, when she arrived home she did just that, and after six months of phone calls and emails with Bishop Ketlen Solak and her staff, she and her husband took another trip in October 2022 to see the church property and discuss the Vision the Lord put on Pastor Nina’s heart.

When Pastor Nina walked through the front doors of the sanctuary, she was quickly reminded of her childhood, where her Father took her to a church that looked much like St. Paul’s, and remembered how she learned about Jesus and prayer during her Sunday School classes, and that as a result of this spiritual experience she learned how to pray, and recalls that after coming home from church one Sunday morning she went into her room, closed the door, and knelt down to pray her very First prayer, and how surprised she was that not only did God hear her prayer, he answered her within minutes of that prayer. Pastor Nina plans to share her experience with everyone at Little City Church when she teaches a lesson on Faith and Prayer.

I am humbled at what the Lord has called me to do, and how He has been preparing me for this work for 40 years as a follower of Jesus, and the experience I have gained over the last 20 years as a Full-time Pastor at Ponce Church.

The Lord also spoke to Pastor Nina 22 years ago, that they would start and pastor a church in Florida, and the Lord confirmed this with her husband, Pastor Rick during his walk on the Beach not long after moving to the beautiful town of Ponce Inlet, FL., and in 2003 together they Established Ponce Church, the First church in the History of Ponce Inlet.

They also helped plant Ormond Church, founded by their son Pastor Rich Tidwell and his wife in 2015, with the launch of Legacy Housing, a home for girls aging out of the foster care system.

The Tidwell family is committed in obeying the Lord Jesus Christ to carry out the will of the Father, to teach His Church (the Body of Christ) what it means to be a True Follower of Jesus in keeping His command to “Love one another as I have Loved you,” and that Love is always accompanied with Action. John 13:34, Matthew 25:31-46, James chapter 2.
